    ElIsPar Rules function for IBM Planning Analytics (TM1)

      ElIsPar determines if an element is the parent of another element or not.

      In the video, ElIsPar will be used to determine if the ‘All Products by Category’ element is a parent or another element or not and apply it in the rule to populate the Comment measure in the Product Scorecard cube.​

          What is the syntax for ElIsPar?

          ElIsPar(dimension, element1, element2)​

          • ​Dimension = A dimension name.​
          • Element1= The name of a consolidated element. ​
          • Element2 = The name of an element.

          • ElComp = Returns the name of a child element from a consolidated element based on the position
          • ElCompN = Returns the number of components under an element
          • ElementComponent = Returns the name of the child of a consolidated element
          • ElementComponentCount = Returns the number of components of the consolidation
