    ElementIsAncestor function for IBM Planning Analytics (TM1)

      ElementIsAncestor determines if the element is an ancestor of another element or not.

      In the video, ElementIsAncestor will be used to determine if the consolidation element is an ancestor of another element or not and apply it in the rule to populate the Comment measure in the Employee Salaries cube.

          What is the syntax for ElementIsAncestor?

          ElementIsAncestor(dimension, hierarchy, element1, element2)​

          • Dimension = A dimension name.​
          • Hierarchy = The name of the hierarchy.​
          • Element1= The name of a consolidated element. ​
          • Element2 = The name of an element.
