    ElementIsComponent function for IBM Planning Analytics (TM1)

      ElementIsComponent determines if the element is a child of a consolidation or not. The function returns 1 if the element is a child of consolidation. ​

      In the video, ElementIsComponent will be used to determine if an element is a child of consolidation and will be applied in the rule to populate the Comment measure in the Employee Salaries cube.​

          What is the syntax for ElementIsComponent?

          ElementIsComponent(dimension, hierarchy, element1, element2)​

          • Dimension = A dimension name.​
          • Hierarchy = The name of the hierarchy.​
          • Element1 = The name of the element within a dimension.​
          • Element2 = The name of the consolidated element within a dimension.
