    ElLev Excel function for IBM Planning Analytics (TM1)

      ElLev returns an element’s level in the dimension.

      In the video, ElLev will be used to return the consolidation and the descendants of All Products by Category and show each element’s level.

        Version 11 and 12

          What is the syntax for ElLev?

          ElLev(TM1ServerName:Dimension, Element)

          • ​TM1ServerName = Name of the TM1 Server
          • Dimension = Name of the Dimension
          • Element = Name of the element

          • ElComp = Returns the name of a child element from a consolidated element based on the position
          • ElCompN = Returns the number of components under an element
          • ElIsComp = Determine whether an element is a component of a parent element in a dimension
